Make 2022 a truly spectacular year!
“For all the obstacles we see before us, gratitude and appreciation should prevail over concerns and complaints.” Pope Francis
When I came across this quote, I realised that this would be the perfect inspiration for 2022.
I would like to invite you to make this your motto for the year ahead and live by it because it is a call to live in a state of abundance rather than one of deprivation. Whilst I realise there are many people out there who are really suffering in this Covid climate, focusing on what we have, rather than what we lack, can improve mental health and overall wellbeing.
There is always something we can appreciate. Our homes, family, friends, the trees that line our streets and provide us with much needed shade, the list is endless. When you focus on what is good in your life, your brain releases endorphins, the “feel good” chemicals, and who couldn’t do with some of those cursing around!
Try starting and ending your day by thinking of at least one thing that you are grateful for. Then attach a reason to it. For example,” I am grateful for my eyesight which allows me to see the beauty in the world”, “I am grateful for the new day because it is filled with endless possibilities”, get creative and really think about it.
Let your New Year’s resolution be to give up complaining, to see obstacles as challenges, to pay it forward. I have said this before, the best way to heal on the inside is to go outside. Give of yourself, help others, make time for acts of kindness in your daily life, live in a state of gratitude and appreciation, so that 2022 will be a truly spectacular year.
Live mindfully and blossom!
